The Andrew Foster Outdoor Education Award 2020

We know we’ve been a little quiet of late but we are delighted to be able to share with you this year’s deserving recipient of Cleeve School’s Andrew Foster award for Outstanding effort in Outdoor Education; congratulations to Neve McPherson.

Despite the Covid restrictions, Cleeve were still able to host their annual Achievements evening virtually in December 2020 to celebrate and recognise the achievements of their students and present their awards. This is the 3rd year now that Cleeve School have presented the Andrew Foster award, given in his memory and in recognition of “Outstanding effort in outdoor education”.

During 2020, Neve demonstrated incredible resilience and perseverance in completing her Duke of Edinburgh activities despite the restrictions in place for much of the year. Neve was one of the first to fully complete her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, receiving huge praise from her assessors for her efforts in completing her Diving Coaching badges, volunteering with younger Rainbow students and developing her hockey skills too.

Well done Neve for receiving your award and congratulations from all at Cam and Bear in completing your DofE award, especially in the very difficult current circumstances.
