What we fund
We provide grants of up to £500 per applicant to help financially support young people (12 to 18 years of age) who would not otherwise have the means or opportunity to experience outdoor adventures of their own. We typically provide grants to help pay associated fees or fund kit and clothing for schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh and Outward bounds courses. We welcome applications for all other outdoor education schemes that may include mountaineering, climbing, skiing, hiking or basically anything that involves getting outdoors and broadening experiences. However, being only a small charity we respectfully ask that we are not sent applications for general ‘crowd funding’.
If your application is successful you will be sent an ‘andy band’ so that you can share your adventure through photo’s and #andyband. We will also share your story through social media and our website to encourage others to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

We would kindly ask you to print out the form and fill in all sections including the independent referee and contact details. Please be aware that we will contact your referee to discuss and validate your application.

Please be aware that the trustees meet every three months to review applications so please allow enough lead time before your adventure and application.
Should your application be successful we will seek to pay directly any fees applied for and ask you to provide copies of receipts if the funds are to be used for buying kit or or clothing.
