Earlier this month, we were delighted and extremely honoured to be invited back to Cleeve School for their first in person Student Achievement award since the pandemic. Watching so many young people gain recognition for their high achievements always leaves us feeling truly inspired.
This year, the Andrew Foster Outdoor Education award was given to Josh Burley. Having only taken up Rock Climbing and Bouldering for the first time this year, Josh was the standout student for the award demonstrating a natural talent from the get go and tremendous determination to advance his skills. But even more striking is his natural leadership, encouragement and coaching of other students to join in and have a go. For us, this support and encouragement of others is what really stands out making Josh a truly fitting and deserved recipient for the award. Congratulations Josh!
As a brilliant addendum, the Head of School mentioned to us that he was approached after the event by another student, thanking him for his award but then asked how does he achieve a ‘special award’ and specifically the Andrew Foster award? It is so wonderful to know that Andrew is still encouraging and inspiring others even now.
