You will remember earlier this year we reported that Gulenn had kindly nominated Cam and Bear Fund as her chosen charity for participating in the ‘Sahara Trek 2019’, organised by the EY Foundation. This was a 10 day expedition across the Sahara dessert, with participants having to raise at least £1,500 in sponsorship funds to be split 50/50 between the EY foundation and their chosen charity.
Well, we are pleased to update that Gulenn successfully completed the trek in April of this year and with all funds in and cheques paid, etc, Gulenn not only reached her target, but exceeded it by some way. Having raised a total of £1,842.30 and 50% coming to Cam and Bear, we are a hugely grateful recipient of a whopping £921.15 into our fund. Thank you, thank you, thank you - brilliant!
And finally, as if that wasn’t enough to round off the story, many congratulations to Gulenn on the recent birth of her son, Joseph - we’ve seen the pictures and he’s an absolute bonny little chap. And yes, that does mean Gulenn completed the trek several months along with Joesph - go Gulenn!
